Documentary film
A documentary entitled Ibsen in Bangladesh, is being made by Faridur Rahman, film and television director. The film will deal with staging of Ibsen's plays in translated and adapted forms and work on Henrik Ibsen from an academic point of view. The duration of the film is 60 minutes and with commentary in English.

Seminar and theatre performances, Department of English, Dhaka University
Department of English, Dhaka University, will organise a separate seminar on Henrik Ibsen 14-15 May, and English Department Drama Society will the same days stage A Doll's House. Performance language is English. Coordinator: Professor Niaz Zaman.

Publications
Three books in Bangla will be published as a part of Ibsen Commemoration 2006. The book Ibsener Natoke Naree Charitra (Women Characters in Ibsen's Plays) is edited by Selina Hossain and contains entries on 100 woman characters of Ibsen's plays. Selina Hossain is also the editor of the anthology Ibsener Natok O Kovita with essays on Ibsen's plays and poems. Major academicians, poets, creative writers, and theatre practitioners from Bangladesh have contributed to the book. The books are planned to be published in April-May.

The book Ibsener Kovita contains fifty of Ibsen's poems translated from English into Bangla by Anisur Rahman and is planned to be published in May. This is the first time Ibsen's poems are made available in Bangla.

Staging of Ibsen's plays in district towns
Space and Acting Research Centre Bangladesh (SARC-Bangladesh) and Advancing Public Interest Trust (APIT) are jointly making productions of An Enemy of the People in the three districts Gaibandha, Lalmonirat and Shatkhira with local artists. The performances are planned to take place in April.

Open-air performance in Dhaka of The Lady from the Sea
Space and Acting Research Centre Bangladesh (SARC-Bangladesh) and Advancing Public Interest Trust (APIT) are jointly also making The Lady from the Sea as an open-air performance in Dhaka which is planned to take place in May.
